re are several what could be considered major birthdays in people’s lives. Of course every birthday is important but these are what is considered as milestones in people’s life. Usually a bigger deal is made of reaching your first birthday, your 13th (teenager), your 16/18th birthday, 21st, and then each decade, 30, 40… Out of those birthdays, someone’s 21st birthday is possibly one of the biggest life has to offer. Although you are considered an adult at when you reach 16, you have usually only fully matured when you reach 21. This is where most people’s adult lives begin. Working up your career ladder, starting to sew the seeds of your own family, buying a home etc. These are all the adult activities one looks to undertake and these begin in your 20s usually.

No longer associated with a hot summers day and a tepid cup of tea, ‘the cupcake’ has – of late – undergone something of rejuvenation. When you are either baking or ordering a birthday cake for the man in your life, there are several things to take into account when choosing the design. You want to make the day special no matter what age the birthday boy is and as everyone knows, a big part of any birthday is a birthday cake. One thing that will greatly affect your choice of birthday cake design is the age of the birthday boy. What is appropriate for a 30 your old work colleague, is not necessarily appropriate for your 6 year old son and vice versa.
